The integration of GORE-TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) technology into the Atacama LightAscent Shell represents a major shift toward high-performance, eco-conscious outerwear.
This next-generation membrane swaps out traditional fluoropolymers for a PFAS-free laminate, significantly lowering the jacket's carbon footprint while preserving the legendary"Guaranteed To Keep You Dry"waterproof and windproof promise.
ENGINEERED TO RESIST ABRASION
In the high alpine; rocks, crampons, ice axes etc. easily damage most alpine equipment with their sharp blades or edges. Therefore, to resist such damage, and increase the life-span of your shell, we incorporated a technical 210D Nylon (polyamide) Outer Face Fabric, that will reduce the possibility for damage of your shell.

What is the return policy?
We want our customers to be satisfied with their purchase. Our rules regarding returns vary depending on the state the product is in, more info can be found at the official return policy page, however, if the product is un-damaged or altered, within 14 days of arrival, and in communication with us, you are eligible for a return, whether this is paid for or not depends on the nature of the reason to return it.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. For the EU and the UK, your order should arrive within 4-9 days. For North America, allow for 7-13 days.
Is the GORE-TEX® membrane PFAS-Free?
Yes. The Atacama Shell uses GORE-TEX ePE technology, which is made without intentionally added PFAS.

Unlike typical shells, the Atacama GORE-TEX Shell uses a tough 210D construction, premium GORE-TEX ePE protection, and an uncompromising focus on durability and performance.
How should I wash and care for the shell?
Machine wash at 40°C with a small amount of liquid detergent. Zip up all pockets before doing so. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry on low to help restore the DWR finish. Always follow the care label inside the jacket.

Shipping is completely covered by Atacama, and is thus 100% free for you in the EU, UK and North America. However, if local fees are enforced you may have to pay them on arrival (e.g. Switzerland).
